Meet your acupuncturist

Hi, I’m Jude.

My name is Judith, but my patients all call me Jude. I spent over 20 years working in health care — including with NHS nursing teams — before training in remedial and sports massage, and then Chinese medicine.

I graduated from the Northern College of Acupuncture in 2024 with a BSc (Hons), and have since trained in YNSA scalp acupuncture, electroacupuncture for endometriosis and Dr Tan’s balance method.

Your first visit

What to expect

Your first appointment is unhurried, so we can understand the whole picture.

  1. A conversation

We talk through your health, history and goals. As is traditional in Chinese medicine, I’ll also look at your tongue and take your pulse.

  2. Your treatment

Fine, sterile, single-use needles are placed at selected points. Many people find the experience deeply relaxing.

  3. A plan together

We agree how often to meet and what to notice between sessions, so you always know what comes next.

FAQs

Questions, answered

Can’t see your question? Call 07757 495 617 or send a message.

Does acupuncture hurt?

Acupuncture needles are very fine — far thinner than those used for injections. Most people feel a brief tingle or a dull ache, followed by a sense of calm.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on you and what you’d like help with. We’ll agree a plan at your first visit and review it as we go.

What should I wear?

Loose, comfortable clothing that can be rolled up above the knee and elbow.

Can I have acupuncture alongside other treatment?

Yes. Acupuncture can sit alongside care from your GP — please keep taking any prescribed medication and let me know what you’re taking.

Do you offer evening appointments?

Yes, evening appointments are available. Call or message to find a time that suits you.
